Link of a power plant to the National Transmission Network (RNT - "Red Nacional de Transmisión") and the General Distribution Networks (RGD - "Red General de Distribución"). The term also refers to the processes related to the increase of installed capacity or change of the interconnection point for an existing power plant, and to the infrastructure requirement for the surplus delivery of isolated supply power plants that intend to interconnect to the RNT and the RGD of the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM - "Mercado Eléctrico Mayorista").
